Why Blend Academic & Mindset Coaching?
I was a past student who had an IEP in high-school and who utilized accommodations on the college level. I share this in an effort to highlight that we all learn differently and that needing extra support (of any kind) is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength. More importantly, to illustrate to my students that I wasn't always a "good" student. In truth, I very much struggled at times!

Safe to say, my educational path was not always a smooth one. At times, I encountered steep learning curves and undesirable grades. It didn't help matters that I had somewhat of a fixed mindset, which meant it was easier to just call it quits at times. Fortunately, I was able to maneuver most academic obstacles once I learned the art of organization and adapted a growth mindset.

I share this story because your student's mindset is their worldview. Therefore, if their worldview carries negative narratives (fixed mindset), extra help is only going to get them so far. Why? Because thoughts translate into action (or in some cases, no action at all)! This is the very reason we blend academic and mindset coaching together. As a result, Inspiration Ed. addresses both shifting thoughts for success as well building the necessary skills for academic and personal success!

Straight from the source
"Megan was my Academic Coach, but quickly became so much more. Not only did she guide my academic journey, she also provided a safe space for all that existed in my life at the time. Many years later, she remains one of the most significant reasons I am a therapist today. Her belief in me, both as a student and as an individual, led to successes I wouldn’t have otherwise dreamed of. Megan is amazing at what she does; it’s an honest calling that beautifully benefits anyone who crosses paths with her. I continue to hold her impact on me closely."
